Entrenching tool helve was held on the webbing cover strapped to the back of the waist belt. This late war version was equipped with a fitting compatible with No 4 spike bayonet. Such set could be used as a mine proble. Presented helve was produced in 1945 and is also marked with the producer initials and broad arrow.
