Short machete or bolo used by the USMC during WW2. This type of edged weapon was part of corpsman equipment. It was used for cutting brushes and small trees in preparation of first aid station or makeshift splints or stretchers. Blade is marked USMC Village Blacksmith and the sheath USMC Boyt 43.
